About The Position

Job Title: Market Grille Cook Department: Market Grille FLSA: Non-Exempt General Function: Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service. Prepares various foods for the Market Grille and is responsible for all hot foods and cold foods including available heat-and-eat varieties.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent experience.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience.
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions.
• Ability to perform simple addition and subtraction, and record figures.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions.
• Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner.
• Makes an effort to learn customers' names and to address them by name whenever possible.
• Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing products that are out of reach, and loading or unloading heavy items.
• Answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service to customers who call.
• Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Prepares cooking surfaces and various food items including vegetables, sides, meats, and breakfast foods.
• Places food in hot cases, monitors amounts, and refills as necessary.
• Prepares items for upcoming shifts and ensures understanding of all aspects of the Market Grille.
• Practices proper sanitation procedures and maintains a clean work area.
• Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
