The Market Executive serves as the primary business leader for the Faquier County/Warrenton market, accountable for executing the Bank’s commercial banking strategy, developing high-performing teams, and fostering deep client relationships aligned with the Bank’s mission and values. This role provides leadership and oversight to Commercial Relationship Managers (CRMs) driving profitable loan and deposit growth while maintaining strong credit quality, regulatory compliance, and community presence. Essential Duties: · Strategic Market Leadership o Executes the market business plan, including loan growth, deposit generation, fee income, and profitability targets. o Monitors market conditions, competitive landscape, and economic trends to identify growth opportunities and risks. o Serves as the face of the Bank in the local market, strengthening community, civic, and business relationships. o Collaborates with executive leadership to align market initiatives with overall Bank strategy. · Customer Relationship Management o Oversees relationship management for commercial customers, ensuring exceptional service and retention. o Partners with bankers to deepen client relationships and deliver tailored financial solutions. o Supports CRMs in developing new business, expanding existing relationships, and delivering high-quality client experience. o Participates in calling efforts on key or complex relationships and prospects. o Reinforces a relationship-based banking approach that emphasizes understanding client needs and providing tailored financial solutions. · Community Engagement o Represents Farmers & Merchants Bank in civic, business, and community functions. o Builds and maintains a strong network of centers of influence to generate referrals and expands market reach. o Recruits key community leaders to serve on a local advisory board. · Leadership & Coaching o Leads, mentors, and develops CRMS to achieve performance goals. o Establishes clear performance expectations and provides ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations within Bank’s guidelines. Supervisory Responsibilities: · Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws to include recruitment and hiring, coordinating training for new hires, assigning and directing managers as needed, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
