About The Position

Resource Innovations is seeking a Market Engagement Representative to join our growing team in Indiana. As a Market Engagement Representative with Resource Innovations, you will be a key contact to contractors, distributors, manufacturers, vendors, service providers, etc., focused on building and strengthening relationships and maximizing participation in utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs. One part relationship-builder and one part problem-solver, this role, similar to a technical sales position, essentially involves promoting a utility-sponsored rebate program to help reduce the cost of energy efficient equipment for area businesses. Requirements

• Associate degree or 5+ years of industry experience
• 2+ years of experience in a related field such as professional sales, account management, marketing, business management, customer service or project management
• Have a valid U.S. driver’s license and a personal vehicle to visit contractor and customer sites
• Must be able to travel locally, primarily in northern Indiana
• Able to work out of your home during the times you are not out in the field working with contractors
• Able to self-manage in a professional environment and take the initiative to get stuff done or try something new
• Humbly confident with an uncanny ability to quickly build trusting relationships, sell concepts at all levels of an organization, and manage multiple time-dependent tasks simultaneously
• Strong proficiency in developing and delivering formal presentations
• Located in or willing to relocate to central or northern Indiana

Nice To Haves

• A background in construction, HVAC, mechanical, building controls, utility Demand Side Management (DSM), energy efficiency design, or other building-related experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Conducts outreach, educates and assists contractors (such as Lighting, HVAC, etc.) so they may effectively participate in and promote Indiana Michigan Power’s energy efficiency programs
• Develops, manages and strengthens relationships with contractors
• Develops and executes outreach strategies to recruit new contractors and retain current contractors
• Delivers sales and program training presentations to provide contractors with an understanding of the value of incentive programs
• Helps contractors identify qualifying projects and associated incentives
• Supports contractors’ application completion, submission, and follow up
• Answers program inquiries
• Trains and supports contractors to use new software programs
• Support Program Managers in project development, tracking and analysis, and management of energy efficiency projects
• Edit and format program documents and reports for grammar, typographical errors, and professional presentation
• Other duties as assigned

• Resource Innovations offers competitive salaries based on a candidate's skills, experience and qualifications for the position.
• The compensation range for the base salary for this position is $75k-$80K.
• In addition to base pay, employees are eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
