About The Position

Resource Innovations is seeking a Market Engagement Lead – Business Analyst to join our growing team in California. As a Market Engagement Lead – Business Analyst, you will partner with our Small Business Equity (SBE) Solution Delivery Managers and Operations team to support program operations and lead projects that enhance our ability to engage utility customers. In this role, you will help connect customers with available energy efficiency upgrades and incentives while maximizing participation in California utility-sponsored programs. Requirements

  • Must be located in the greater California Bay area.
  • Experience supporting utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs, preferably in California.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction while contributing effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and program database systems.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.
  • Demonstrated interest in sustainability and passion for environmental impact.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in energy efficiency program operations, business analysis, or utility program delivery.
  • Experience working directly with California investor-owned utilities (IOUs).
  • Familiarity with program tracking systems (Salesforce, CRM platforms, or similar databases).
  • Experience managing invoicing processes, forecasting, accruals, and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of California energy efficiency policies, regulatory frameworks, and market engagement strategies.
  • Experience supporting Small Business or Equity-focused programs.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, data analysis, reporting dashboards).

Responsibilities

  • Support overall program operations across the California SBE portfolio.
  • Ensure accurate client invoicing, subcontractor accruals, administrative reporting, and program data analysis.
  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Identify, track, and monitor goal progress and manage leads from multiple outreach channels within program databases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely project data uploads.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from customers and client representatives.
  • Engage with internal teams, subcontractors, clients, and stakeholders to understand needs and support program success.
  • Lead assigned projects by clarifying objectives, asking thoughtful questions, and delivering well-developed solutions within established timelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
