About The Position

This Market position is responsible for ensuring that the facilities Meadowview Regional Medical Center and Fleming County Hospital are in compliance with TJC, state, and federal standards. This market position has oversight responsibility for all regulatory body surveys, i.e., TJC, State Licensing Review, and CMS Validation surveys. This includes staying current with TJC standards, educating facility staff about TJC standards, and preparing the facility for TJC accreditation surveys. This market position is responsible for planning and implementing the performance improvement program. This position will oversee the organization’s comprehensive insurance and risk management program, assessing and identifying risks that could impede reputation, safety, security, or financial success of the organization. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation. Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization. Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives. Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives. Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits. Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth. Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols. Regular and reliable attendance. Perform other duties as assigned. Additional Information: Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, patients, contractors, and vendors. Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information. Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred
  • Applicable work experience may be used in lieu of education
  • BLS
  • Business Mathematical Skills -- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Moderate Computer Skills -- Frequent use of electronic mail, word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, graphics, etc. Ability to create, maintain and incorporate simple functions into documents, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations to support business objectives.
  • Complex Communication -- Frequently communicates complex information and interacts with management. Can present, resolve, and address delicate situations. Can motivate and persuade others.
