About The Position

Assumes responsibility and accountability for planning and directing the activities for all patient access services (PAS) at Wellington Regional Medical Center (WRMC). This includes, but is not limited to central scheduling, pre-registration, financial counseling, insurance verification and authorization, inpatient admission, outpatient and emergency registration, and upfront cash collection. This position is responsible for ensuring that key performance indicators for PAS are consistently developed, measured and achieved.

Requirements

Strong verbal and written communication skill; demonstrating the ability to effectively interact with all levels of an organization.
Extensive experience with Medicare, Medicaid, managed care and commercial payer requirements.
Strong working knowledge of compliance requirements for PAS-related activities, including but not limited to federal, state and JCAHO regulations.
5+ years of PAS and/or Business Office experience in an acute care hospital or related organization required.
Minimum of five years management experience, preferably in PAS.
Bachelors Degree

Nice To Haves

Healthcare Access Management Certification (CHAM) preferred.
