About The Position

This full-time, permanent Market Development Manager career opportunity is with an elite, top-tier accredited provider of specialized electrical power solutions. As a recognized industry authority serving a premier roster of Fortune 500 companies and government agencies, the organization has achieved consistent 15–20% annual growth over the last 15 years, offering a level of stability and professional respect that far exceeds standard regional shops. This strategic hire is a key component of a long-term leadership succession plan; the successful candidate will initially partner with a tenured veteran to master the territory’s nuances before transitioning into a senior leadership role. Operating within a high-performance, remote-friendly culture, you will have the full backing of expert field engineers and world-class technical facilities to deliver high-stakes, code-compliant solutions to a diverse national client base.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of proven sales success within the electrical power testing, distribution, or maintenance industry
  • A strong track record of territory building and the ability to generate new revenue through cold calling and strategic networking
  • A bachelor’s degree and a deep understanding of electrical design and control systems
  • A self-motivated, "hunter" mentality with the ability to work independently in a remote or field-based capacity
  • Possession of a solid work history free of frequent "job-hopping"
  • The ability to travel throughout the Midwest and occasionally nationwide (including CA, HI, or PR) as required for key accounts
  • Being a US citizen or Green Card holder
  • Having a residence in Wisconsin with the ability to commute to the Neenah office as needed

Responsibilities

  • Drive regional market expansion across the Upper Midwest by executing a comprehensive growth strategy to acquire high-value industrial/utility accounts and managing the full sales lifecycle from lead generation to contract closure
  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert to assess complex client needs for electrical design and high-voltage testing while demonstrating the critical ROI and reliability of NETA-compliant maintenance programs
  • Cultivate and scale long-term partnerships with Fortune 500 clients, providing "engineering-adjacent" support to ensure all proposed system modifications and testing services align with specific operational goals
  • Partner with internal technical and field service leadership to develop precise, code-compliant project scopes and maintain high-touch communication throughout the post-service follow-up process
