As the Market Development Manager, Alternative Cure Coating Technologies and a member of the Industrial Coatings team, you will work with leadership from one of PPG's most diverse businesses. You will define, develop, and execute a growth strategy and plan for alternative cure coatings technologies that aligns with our overall business strategy and objectives. You will report to the Head of Strategic Marketing, Industrial Coatings. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management, marketing, or related field.
  • 15+ years of market and/or business development experience within the industrial B2B industry with a record of delivering organic growth
  • Experience valuing sell complex technical solutions, including applied-cost and sustainability-driven ROI.
  • Experience working globally with teams and customers, understanding cultural nuances to build trust and relationship with people.
  • Understand the tactical and strategic elements of driving focused business growth within an industrial B2B setting.
  • Able to Travel up to 50%

  • Established industry reputation in coatings, alternative cure coating technologies, and markets of interest to PPG preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead growth initiatives for alternative cure coating technology platforms, including laser-cure and radiation-cure (EB/UV) coating technologies.
  • Build and manage opportunity pipeline for specific technologies in target market segments to support our growth strategies.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to build a sales pipeline and ensure compliance with Secure Launch protocols for successful opportunity execution.
  • Partner with key account managers and sales teams on value propositions and go-to-market strategies for these technology platforms.
  • Create applied-cost and sustainability value propositions that measure total system economics (equipment, process, energy, and material cost) and environmental benefits to support customer conversion to alternative cure coating technologies.
  • Establish credibility as an industry expert and trusted advisor, both internally and externally.
  • Share expertise with Industrial Coatings regional organizations to support future platform expansion.
  • Train Industrial Coatings sales and service teams on the value proposition of alternative cure coating platforms.
