This position is responsible for understanding current market structures, evaluating the impact of proposed changes, and supporting SPP’s Market Working Group by facilitating market design modifications and performing in-depth market analysis. The Market Design Analyst will collaborate with multiple working groups and internal departments—including Operations, Legal, Regulatory, Settlements, Training, and other Markets teams—to ensure implemented processes and software align with market design principles. This role also involves engaging with market participants, vendors, FERC, and other RTOs/ISOs to influence market policy and design.
