The Market Coordinator is responsible for either, fat, protein, or wet pet sales accounts including interaction with customers, production facilities, customer service, administrative and accounts receivable.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of marketing, management and/or sales experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required; degree in Business, Agriculture or related field
  • Detail oriented; highly organized; self-motivated; ability to multi-task.
  • Work well in a team environment.
  • Agility in decision making
  • Excellent communication skills with both internal and external customers.
  • Experience working in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Complete understanding and proficiency in Oracle sales, purchases and inventory management programs.
  • Background in agricultural business/sales a plus.
  • Proficiency in Oracle sales, purchases and inventory management programs preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates service of finished product, including inventory management, logistics, and scheduling to meet plant and customer needs
  • Works closely with Product Quality and Safety Teams to ensure product quality
  • Communicates with sales managers, customers, our plant personnel, and customer service.
  • Completes forms, paperwork, etc. in connection with customer approvals, audits, regulatory requirements, pricing and contract fulfillment.
  • Coordinates trade show and conference schedules, meetings, etc.
  • Oversight of administrative duties in regard to order entry, scheduling, and account receivables.
  • Communicates customer activities with managers of other Darling lines of business.
  • Responsible for sale of finished product
  • Negotiates contracts with customers
  • Ability to sell and prospect for potential new business.
  • Other duties as assigned
