The Market & Competitive Intelligence Analyst is primarily responsible for collecting and reporting of secondary data analytics, market reporting, and competitive intelligence initiatives that inform strategic, commercial, and portfolio decisions. This role serves as a trusted insights partner to business leaders by translating complex market and competitive data into clear, decision-ready narratives that guide product, marketing, and sales strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Economics, MIS, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in analytics, market intelligence, or competitive intelligence roles.
  • Experience working with secondary data sources and public information.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends across complex data sets.
  • Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Business, Analytics, Economics, or related field.
  • Experience with BI tools and dashboarding platforms.
  • SQL or advanced querying experience.
  • Experience supporting executive-level or board-ready insights.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver recurring markets, category, and competitive intelligence reports assessing industry trends, growth drivers, pricing dynamics, and competitor strategies.
  • Research and synthesize insights from secondary data sources including earnings reports, public filings, press releases, industry publications, and syndicated data.
  • Develop and maintain competitive intelligence outputs such as competitor profiles, comparative analyses, and positioning summaries.
  • Design, build, and maintain market and competitive dashboards, scorecards, and analytics frameworks.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and analytical rigor across all reports, dashboards, and executive deliverables.
  • Partner with the Senior Manager of Analytics & Insights to develop executive-ready summaries, presentations, and visualizations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, product, and subsidiary analysts to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Identify emerging market and competitive dynamics and translate findings into concise, actionable insight narratives for leadership.
