About The Position

The Market Clinical Trainer at Owens & Minor is responsible for developing and enhancing the clinical skills of respiratory therapists within their designated market. This role involves assessing the skills and knowledge of both new and existing therapists, delivering tailored training programs, and providing ongoing support to ensure effective use of Apria products and services. The trainer acts as a leader and trusted advisor, contributing to the development of clinical training materials and programs on a national level.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program for respiratory therapy is required.
  • Education or experience equivalent to a four-year degree is required.
  • At least five years of related industry experience in sales, training, and/or clinical is required.
  • RT License required.
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance per Apria policy required.
  • Registration or certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) is required.
  • Current RCP license in the state of practice if required by the state.
  • Current CPR Certification is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience on the Apria Clinical Team is preferred.
  • Strong business acumen to work with all levels of management.
  • Exceptional administrative and time management skills.
  • Experience and interest in coaching others.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver training to respiratory therapists in small groups, large groups, or one-on-one settings, both virtually and in-person.
  • Train new and tenured respiratory therapists on Apria products and clinical tools.
  • Provide feedback and recommend future training programs to the Corporate Clinical Team.
  • Assess respiratory therapists' skills through clinical calls and provide coaching to enhance understanding.
  • Regularly communicate with local management regarding therapists' performance and recommend strategies for skill reinforcement.
  • Conduct follow-up training and refresher courses as needed within the assigned market.
  • Tailor training to address unique local market challenges and opportunities.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on new clinical initiatives and monitor program effectiveness.
