Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of retail, farmers market, or customer service experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a farmers market, pop-up shop, or local food retail environment.
• Knowledge of local agriculture and farm-to-table practices.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests, answering questions, and offering product recommendations.
• Process sales transactions accurately, handling cash and credit card payments.
• Set up and break down market displays, ensuring a clean and organized space.
• Restock and maintain product displays, fridges, and freezers.
• Unpack deliveries, verify inventory, and label merchandise.
• Assist vendors with their product displays and supply needs.
• Monitor product quality, remove expired or damaged items, and participate in inventory counts.
• Support promotional activities, such as signage and in-store displays.
• Contribute to a positive team atmosphere and assist with other tasks as needed.
