About The Position

We are seeking a Market Area Controller to serve as the financial leader for a defined regional market within a growing, privately held services organization. This role will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, operational analysis, and team leadership while acting as a strategic business partner to operations leadership to improve efficiency and profitability. ● Key Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls Deliver variance analysis, KPIs, and actionable financial insights Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts in partnership with operations Monitor financial performance and recommend corrective actions Analyze revenue trends, cost drivers, and operational initiatives to improve margins Support audits and implement process improvements Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff Serve as key financial partner to operations, sales, and compliance teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 8–10+ years of progressive accounting and financial leadership experience
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis expertise
  • Proven experience leading and developing accounting teams
  • Advanced Excel and ERP system proficiency
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with operational leaders
