This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy in the CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group) MBAB 5P32 - Financial Accounting I Course Description The theory and practice of financial statement preparation including the measurement, reporting, and disclosure of assets, liabilities, equity, revenue and expenses with specific reference to generally accepted accounting principles and interpretation of related reports. Marker-Grader positions are paid according to the qualifications that the employee holds. · Master’s Degree Complete ($34.10/hour) - Paid to employees who have completed a master’s degree. (Rate effective September 1, 2024) · Undergraduate Degree Complete ($29.40/hour) Paid to employees who have completed a four-year honours degree or a three-year pass degree. (Rate effective September 1, 2024) · Third Year Complete ($21.70/hour) - Paid to employees who have completed the third year of an undergraduate honours degree. (Rate effective September 1, 2024) · Second Year Complete ($19.09/hour) Paid to employees who have completed the second year of an undergraduate degree. (Rate effective September 1, 2024) · First Year Complete ($18.00/hour) Paid to employees who have completed the first year of an undergraduate honours degree.

Requirements

• Must have completed MBAB 5P32 (or equivalent in English) and attained a grade of 80% or higher
• Graduate of or Major in Accounting with a minimum major average of 75%
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
• Proven track record of working effectively with deadlines

• Previous Marker/Grader experience is considered an asset

Responsibilities

• Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams
• Provide written feedback to students that will clearly identify the basis of the grade assigned; whether it is due to substantive content, or to written communications, including spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization of the submission
• Invigilate mid-terms and examinations for this course, or enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor
