About The Position

As a Maritime System Technician, you will be responsible for creating solutions for missions that ensure national safety. This role involves understanding complex situations and solving intricate problems within the undersea domain, supporting senior-level DoD and Service personnel. You will apply specialized knowledge in uncrewed systems and marine mammals, utilizing scientific and engineering principles to identify and assess threat system safety hazards and implement mitigations to reduce warfighter risk. The position requires working in a dynamic team environment with both client and contractor staff, focusing on the research and development of robotic and uncrewed systems across various operational domains and mission areas. You will leverage extensive technical expertise and industry knowledge to develop innovative solutions to complex problems, working autonomously and mentoring team members.

Requirements

  • Experience with conducting system safety hazard analyses and risk assessments for identifying hazards, using hazard tracking systems, preparing system safety risk acceptance documents, and presenting to DoW system safety review boards
  • Experience with writing information papers and concepts of operation (CONOPs)
  • Experience in standing up and fielding specialized maritime equipment
  • Experience in delivering reference-based and hands-on training to DoW personnel for unmanned maritime systems
  • Experience with DoW Quality Assurance (QA) and technical compliance
  • Experience with UUV Systems, deployments, and USN needs in the unmanned sector
  • Ability to organize, schedule, and facilitate technical meetings and working groups
  • Ability to analyze, research, assess, and organize technical data into cohesive and clear technical reports and presentations
  • Top Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

  • Experience with Submarine deployment and Operational Tempo
  • Knowledge of critical torpedo room layout and functionality
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent critical thinking, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Certified IVER 3 and IVER 4 AUV Operator and Repair Technician Certification
