About The Position

The Maritime Security Analyst position at Scientific Research Corporation involves providing engineering support for the Development Special Security Cooperation Initiatives aimed at enhancing the capabilities of African Partner Nations. The role includes daily integration and support of NAVAF BPC staff requirements, supervising and monitoring all phases of execution, and conducting technical assessments of Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) and Maritime Response (MR) capabilities in foreign nations.

Requirements

• Ability to travel to Naples, Italy and western Africa for up to 50% of the time.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with USG customer and partner-nations.
• Ability to write reports in MS Word and PowerPoint.
• Secret Clearance for SIPRNET and Base Access.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Any discipline).

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Maritime Operations and Security.
• Specific experience with Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) systems, Maritime Operations Centers, Maritime Response (MR) Operations.
• Familiarity with Special Security Cooperation Initiatives (SSCI) and building partnership capacity programs.
• Basic knowledge of small boat operations.
• Basic familiarity with coastal sensors, e.g., radars and cameras.
• Basic familiarity with supply chain management, e.g., ordering, shipping, receiving, storage, etc.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily integration and support of NAVAF BPC staff requirements.
• Supervise and monitor NAVAF SSCI's in all phases of execution from development through delivery.
• Interface with government agencies in support of NAVAF initiatives including AFRICOM, DSCA, NIPO, NETSAFA, NAVAIR, NAVWAR, and USASAC.
• Conduct technical assessments of MDA and MR capabilities in foreign nations.
• Responsible for program development to improve military systems, including equipment upgrades, installations, training, and technical support following assessment.
