About The Position

We are seeking a Maritime Electrical Engineering Intern with a background in electrical systems to support the development of advanced shipboard electronics, from initial concept through rapid prototyping and field testing. Requirements

  • Are currently pursuing a B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
  • Are interested in designing, assembling, integrating, or testing electrical systems.
  • Are proficient with foundational analog and digital circuit concepts.
  • Have experience with basic electrical tools and common lab equipment (e.g., spectrum/network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes).
  • Are willing to work periodically aboard a U.S. Navy vessel with a complementary team of technical experts.
  • Have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Note: When prompted to upload attachments, please include a copy of your college transcripts (unofficial transcripts are acceptable).
  • Are able to obtain a Secret security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

Nice To Haves

  • Have completed coursework in, or are proficient with, RF or analog circuit design, or antennas.
  • Have experience designing, fabricating, and testing printed circuit boards, and using Altium (or similar EDA tools).
  • Have experience working on electrical engineering projects.
  • Have familiarity with system requirements.
  • Have experience with VLF, HF, VHF, and UHF systems.
  • Have experience with Navy electronics and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop shipboard systems applying core electrical skills in analog and digital circuit/circuit board design for rapid-fielding maritime systems.
  • Perform testing and quality control for maritime systems in both a lab environment and during integration onto U.S. Navy platforms.
  • Document designs and prepare technical reports to support integration and installation onto maritime platforms.
  • Research new technologies and develop prototypes to analyze emerging capabilities.
