World Fuel is looking for a skilled and safety-focused Marine Terminal Operator to join our dynamic team in Newport News, VA. This is your opportunity to play a vital role in fueling marine vessels while ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility.

Requirements

  • Valid TWIC card or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Eligibility for MARSEC Level maritime security clearance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in marine fueling or related operations preferred.
  • Strong understanding of fuel handling and safety procedures.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, physically active environment.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to obtain necessary certifications.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Capable of standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in marine fueling or related operations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate fueling equipment to deliver fuel to marine vessels.
  • Perform pre-fueling inspections and coordinate fueling operations with vessel crews.
  • Monitor fuel levels and maintain accurate transaction records.
  • Support MARSEC security procedures and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of fueling systems.
  • Respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies or spills using established protocols.
  • Keep your work area clean, organized, and ready for action.
