About The Position

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: Evaluates performance and operation of watercraft during sea trials. Repairs and installs equipment such as engines, electrical systems and components, heating, ventilation, water systems. Conducts tests on marine equipment to see if testing standards are met. Reviews recommendations for repair work to watercraft with service advisor. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and minimum 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Basic Mathematical skills
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concreate variables in standardized situations.
  • To perform this job successfully an individual should gain knowledge of ADP Light speed and should have the ability to use computer to diagnose boat systems and engines.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
