About The Position

Vigor Marine Group is seeking a Marine Watercraft Test & Evaluation Engineer to develop and execute watercraft test procedures. This role is crucial for ensuring that our customers receive mature systems that meet their mission requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience with Department of Defense (DoD) watercraft testing requirements and procedures, along with strong attention to detail and communication skills. The position is based in Vancouver, WA, a city known for its outdoor activities and quality of life. The pay range for this position is $103,118 - $128,898.

Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred).
  • 10+ years of Test & Evaluation experience.
  • Experience in working on DoD contracts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook).
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat and comfort with digital document creation/editing.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., IFS or similar) and basic data reporting tools.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to follow structured procedures.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and manage competing priorities.
  • Able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with SOCOM, US Army, and US Navy preferred.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and draft test procedures that meet or exceed contractual testing requirements.
  • Evaluate testing data and provide feedback to the Engineering and Production teams on new designs.
  • Understand and track Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) through the Engineering Change Control and Implementation Process.
  • Ensure testing data is accurately measured and disseminated to the correct teams.
  • Prepare presentations for senior leadership and customer-facing presentations documenting testing procedures.
  • Review, implement, and maintain plans and tracking mechanisms that map programmatic requirements to planned testing, demonstration and fleet events.
  • Coordinate test conduct between Production, Quality Assurance, Customer, and Regulatory Bodies.
