About The Position
Marine Policy Interns will learn about the marine conservation policy of WCS's New York Seascape Program. Interns will be introduced to the marine wildlife of the New York Bight and the conservation challenges they face; collaborate with NY Seascape and WCS Government and Community Affairs staff to support science-based marine management and policy as well as community and stakeholder engagement, including stakeholder engagement and policy advocacy to advance the proposed Hudson Canyon National Marine Sanctuary. In addition, interns will be introduced to NY Seascape's multiple field research projects in the region and to the variety of methods used to monitor local marine wildlife.
