About The Position
Marine Mechanic Position: Marine Mechanic Job Location: Harahan, LA Hutco Branch: Harvey, LA Rate of Pay: $20.00 to $30.00 per hour based on Experience (time and a half for overtime after 40 hours) NO TWIC card required. NO per diem available. Long-term work. LOTS OF HOURS AVAILABLE!!!
Responsibilities
- Maintain the following equipment, hydraulic, air compressor, centrifuges, water system, sewer system, heating and cooling systems, and alarm systems.
- Maintain proper operation of basic systems such as electrical, sewage, heating and cooling, and winches.
- Keeps logs of items such as hours of engine operation, temperatures, pressures and fuel consumption
- Keeps logs of major repairs and maintains parts inventory for repairs
- Implements and follows maintenance plans by setting up schedules for personnel to follow to accomplish these tasks in a timely fashion
- Checks inventory and supplies and writes requisition for needed parts and supplies for the job.
- Participates in and may rotate as lead for monthly safety meeting
- Maintains equipment, tools, supplies, and machinery room spaces in clean, dry and orderly condition
