About The Position
Principal Responsibilities: Travel extensively in the Gulf Coast to perform maintenance and repairs to various engines aboard vessels. Troubleshoot and replace pumps, compressors, and other mechanical systems. Assist the Port Engineer on repairs to vessels on dry dock. Visit vessels in operation for repair and preventive maintenance planning. Work on-call rotation, ensuring coverage after hours and on weekends and holidays. Perform other duties and activities as directed by VP of Engineering and Port Engineers.
Requirements
- TWIC Required.
- Valid Driver’s License and excellent driving record required.
- Ability to travel.
Nice To Haves
- John Deere, Detroit, Caterpillar and/or Cummins engine experience, preferred.
- Experience with Twin Disc and Reintjes gears.
- Experience with HVAC and Electrical systems.
- Knowledge of ZF Marine Z drive units a plus.
