About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Marine Electrician with U.S. Navy (USN) experience to support installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of shipboard electrical systems. This role is ideal for veterans with hands-on experience working on power distribution, control systems, and electrical components in operational maritime environments. This position prefers service in the United States Navy, preferably in roles such as: Electrician’s Mate (EM), Interior Communications Electrician (IC), Electronics Technician (ET) (power/distribution focus), Engineman (EN) or Machinist’s Mate (MM) with electrical experience. Candidates with direct experience working on shipboard electrical systems and troubleshooting under operational conditions are highly preferred.

Requirements

• Prior service in the United States Navy
• Experience working on shipboard electrical systems
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams
• Strong electrical aptitude and problem-solving ability
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety

Nice To Haves

• Experience in: Shipyards, maritime operations, or industrial environments
• Power generation and distribution systems
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance systems

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair shipboard electrical systems
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults in power distribution systems
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical components and equipment
• Install and upgrade electrical systems, wiring, panels, and components
• Support modifications and retrofits of marine electrical systems
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
• Use testing equipment (multimeters, meggers, etc.) to identify issues
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Follow all electrical safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and operational standards
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair documentation
