Principal Responsibilities: Performing maintenance and repairs to various engines aboard vessels. Troubleshoot and replace pumps, compressors, and other mechanical systems. Assist the Port Engineer/Project Manager on repairs to vessels on dry dock. Extensive travel in company provided work truck. Observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including PPE. Visit vessels in operation for repair and preventive maintenance planning. Work on-call rotation, ensuring coverage after hours and on weekends and holidays. Perform other duties and activities as directed by VP of Engineering. Qualifications: EMD, John Deere, Caterpillar and/or Cummins engine experience, preferred. Experience with Falk, Lufkin, and Reintjes gears a plus. Experience with HVAC and Electrical systems is a plus. Knowledge of Steerprop Z drive units a plus. TWIC Required. Excellent driving record required. Ability to travel. (Company vehicle provided.)
