About The Position
As the Marine Center Manager at West Marine, you will play a pivotal role in leading your team to deliver an exceptional store experience for both customers and associates. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining a vibrant and engaging store environment that reflects the best practices of a successful selling store. You will possess a comprehensive understanding of the boating supply market and the specific needs of our customers, ensuring that we become the premier local boat parts seller in Sarasota, FL. Your primary responsibility will be to guide your associates through effective coaching and mentoring, fostering a culture of growth and development within your team. You will lead by example, demonstrating the values of superior customer service and teamwork that are foundational to West Marine's mission. By aligning your team's efforts with business objectives, you will work towards achieving the store's sales goals and enhancing overall performance. In addition to team leadership, you will coordinate and manage all operational aspects of the store. This includes meeting and exceeding annual sales targets, maintaining accountability for the Profit & Loss statement, and managing inventory shrinkage. You will also be responsible for hiring, training, and holding associates accountable for their performance, ensuring they are equipped to assist customers in completing their purchases seamlessly. Your role will be instrumental in creating a positive shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty and satisfaction.
