About The Position

The Marina Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to boaters in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner. This role assists boaters during arrival and departure, handles fueling transactions, supports docking procedures, and maintains a clean, safe, and organized dock environment. This role is for a service-minded professional: friendly, dependable, safety-focused, and eager to learn. Customer Service & Hospitality Maintain a pleasant, professional, and friendly demeanor with all customers, co-workers, and clients. Greet and welcome guests, provide directions and information on marina amenities and local attractions, and deliver requested guest amenities. Dock & Boater Assistance Assist boaters with docking, tying lines, and connecting to electric pedestals; troubleshoot electrical issues as needed. Support safe boater arrivals and departures while ensuring smooth, courteous service. Fueling Operations Safely operate fuel pumps, monitor levels, and dispense fuel while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct routine equipment checks and report malfunctions or damage promptly. Cash Handling & Transactions Handle cash and electronic transactions for fuel and guest services accurately. Record sales, explain transient rates, accept payments, and complete reconciliation in a timely manner. Facility Maintenance & Cleanliness Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized fuel dock and marina areas, including restrooms, lobbies, and trash receptacles. Ensure the overall appearance of the marina reflects company standards. Safety & Compliance Follow all company appearance and policy standards as outlined in the Alliance Marine Associate Handbook. Report accidents, hazards, or safety concerns immediately and comply with all site-specific safety and security procedures. Teamwork & Adaptability Collaborate with co-workers and management to support marina operations. Perform additional duties assigned with flexibility and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service skills with a passion for hospitality.
  • Comfortable working outdoors, on docks, and on your feet for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions safely and consistently in compliance with ADA, FMLA, and other applicable standards.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on the telephone and in person.
  • Primarily light, administrative work with occasional heavy lifting (up to 100 lbs.) and frequent moderate lifting (20–50 lbs.).
  • Ability to move through varied marina environments and obstacles, with or without accommodation.
  • Ability to withstand exposure to heat and various weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

  • Knowledge of boating practices and terminology preferred
