Lighthouse Point Marina is seeking an experienced, hands-on Marina General Manager to lead day-to-day operations, elevate the guest experience, and guide the marina’s continued growth as a premier waterfront destination in Baltimore. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives at the intersection of operations, hospitality, and people management—someone equally comfortable walking the docks, engaging with boaters, and managing budgets, teams, and long-term strategy. About Lighthouse Point Marina Located in the heart of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor area, Lighthouse Point Marina offers a vibrant marina environment with modern amenities, strong community ties, and a diverse mix of seasonal and transient boaters. Position Overview The Marina General Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the marina, including operations, financial results, team leadership, safety, and customer satisfaction. This role serves as the primary on-site leader and ambassador for Lighthouse Point Marina.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Marina General Manager, Assistant General Manager, Dockmaster, or senior operations leader in a marina or hospitality environment
  • Strong people leadership skills with a hands-on, visible management style
  • Financial acumen, including experience managing budgets and P&L performance
  • Customer-focused mindset with a passion for hospitality and waterfront communities
  • Working knowledge of marina operations and boating culture
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day leadership of marina operations, ensuring docks, facilities, and guest areas are well maintained, safe, and operating efficiently.
  • Recruit, train, lead, and retain a high-performing marina team while fostering accountability, engagement, and a strong service culture.
  • Deliver an exceptional experience for slip holders, transient boaters, and guests by building strong relationships, addressing concerns proactively, and maintaining a welcoming marina atmosphere.
  • Manage marina financial performance, including budgeting, revenue growth initiatives, expense control, and regular reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements while promoting a culture of safety for staff, boaters, and visitors.
  • Oversee relationships with vendors, contractors, and partners to ensure quality service delivery and cost-effective operations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operations, enhance amenities, and strengthen marina performance while aligning with long-term business objectives.
