About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Marina Forklift Operator to join our team in Riverview, FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, load, and unload boats, equipment, and supplies within the marina. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Valid forklift operator certification or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience operating forklifts, preferably in a marina or marine environment.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations related to forklift operation.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
• Ability to work weekends

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to transport boats, marine equipment, and supplies safely around the marina.
• Load and unload boats from trailers and storage areas.
• Inspect forklifts daily to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.
• Follow all safety guidelines and marina protocols to prevent accidents and damage.
• Assist with organizing and maintaining the marina yard and storage areas.
• Communicate effectively with marina staff and supervisors regarding operations and safety concerns.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
