About The Position

The Marina Attendant position is a full-time role for the summer season at Petro Marine Services in Juneau, Alaska. The attendant will be responsible for pumping fuel, handling cash transactions, performing light maintenance, and various duties in and around the plant, including the warehouse, main tank farm, marinas, and office. The role involves data entry and general office duties as defined by the Plant Manager. This is a non-exempt position eligible for overtime benefits, and candidates must be at least 16 years old to work on the marina.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Alaska Driver's License.
• Ability to work directly with petroleum products.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and provide professional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Pump fuel and handle cash transactions for all marina customers.
• Conduct daily inventory of float stock and restock as necessary.
• Monitor drip pans, drip barrels, and used oil collection system; remove as necessary and label containers.
• Collect and place used sorbents in designated drums.
• Fill drummed fuel orders.
• Gauge all tanks for fuel depth, water depth, and temperature; record in the gauge book monthly.
• Inspect area within the tank farm containment dike for water level and quality weekly; drain water as required in presence of the plant manager.
• Assemble package stock order for barge delivery.
• Record closing meter reading and collect meter sheets; place meter sheets, invoices, and cash drawer in office safe at close of day.
• Be available to assist with other operations as necessary.
