The Manulife/John Hancock Actuarial Co-op Program offers a unique opportunity for students pursuing a degree in an actuarial-related field to gain hands-on experience in a leading financial services provider. This program is designed to provide co-op students with challenging work that makes a difference while fostering a flexible and supportive environment. The co-op positions are available for either a 4-month term (January - April 2025) or a 6-month term (January - June 2025) in Boston, Massachusetts. As part of the program, students will be placed in various actuarial departments, such as pricing, valuation, modeling, and more, allowing them to gain exposure to key actuarial disciplines. Participants in the co-op program will have the chance to develop their technical expertise, business integrity, and leadership skills while learning about the actuarial career. The program includes a mentorship component, where co-ops will be paired with full-time actuarial students, and opportunities to attend events featuring speakers from different departments within the organization. Networking with senior management and participating in social events with fellow co-ops and full-time employees are also integral parts of the experience. This hybrid position requires co-ops to be present in the office on core in-office days while allowing for remote work on other days, promoting a balance between collaboration and flexibility.
