About The Position

The Manufacturing Weld Fabricator is responsible for performing basic weld fabrications for various products and components. This role requires proficiency in welding techniques, understanding of drawings and blueprints, and adherence to quality standards. The position involves working independently and as part of a team to ensure high-quality manufacturing outcomes while maintaining safety and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience required.
  • Basic Welding Certifications in GMAW welding process in 1-3 G/F positions preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of weld equipment and dimensional tools.
  • Ability to interpret specifications and drawings.
  • Basic knowledge of current computer software and machine electronic systems.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow troubleshooting and standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with MS Office and Holt Operating System (DBS, SIS).
  • Demonstrated integrity and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and tack/stitch weld subassemblies and full products using various tools and fixtures.
  • Assist in developing new fabrication weldment procedures based on drawings and welding symbols.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding processes through weld symbols and callouts.
  • Complete work orders, fabrication, and welding on products and components.
  • Ensure all weldments comply with specific welding codes, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Perform basic oxy/acetylene torch cutting and welding.
  • Complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Participate in educational opportunities to update job knowledge.
  • Maintain consistency between shifts and areas by following Standard Work processes.
  • Transport materials using overhead cranes, jibs, carts, and other devices.
  • Work as part of the manufacturing team to provide high-quality products.
  • Perform regular operator checks and maintenance on equipment and work areas.
  • Adhere to safety policies and report near misses and incidents.
  • Complete quality inspections and necessary paperwork, enforcing required rework before customer delivery.
  • Communicate variances to established processes for an area or product.
  • Work overtime as required by workload and customer needs.
