The Manufacturing Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily material movement, warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, and line-side material support within a regulated medical manufacturing environment. This role ensures that materials flow efficiently and accurately through the supply chain to support production schedules, quality requirements, and customer commitments. The Supervisor will lead a diverse team, promote operational excellence, and maintain compliance with FDA, ISO, and GMP standards.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in supply chain, materials management, warehouse, or manufacturing operations.
  • Proven experience supervising or leading a large and diverse team.
  • Strong proficiency in SAP (IM/WM/MM/PP).
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, production floor requirements, and material flow dependencies.
  • Experience working in FDA-regulated or similarly regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of lean methodologies (5S, standard work, waste elimination).
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in medical device manufacturing.
  • Exposure to Kanban, supermarket, or pull-based replenishment systems.
  • Lean or Six Sigma certifications (Yellow/Green Belt).
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
  • Knowledge of cold-chain or controlled-environment warehousing.

Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership Supervise and develop a team of material handlers, warehouse associates, and inventory specialists across multiple shifts.
  • Organize daily work assignments, monitor productivity, and ensure timely movement of materials to support manufacturing demand.
  • Promote a positive, collaborative, and inclusive team culture.
  • Material Handling & Warehouse Operations Oversee receiving, put-away, kitting, staging, line-side delivery, and finished goods movement.
  • Ensure compliance with all SOPs, GMP requirements, and traceability standards.
  • Maintain workplace organization through 5S and lean principles.
  • Inventory Control & Accuracy Monitor inventory performance metrics including accuracy, cycle count completion, and material availability.
  • Lead root cause investigations for inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure proper documentation and transaction accuracy in SAP.
  • Systems & Process Management Utilize SAP (IM/WM/MM/PP) to manage material flow, transactions, and inventory visibility.
  • Support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, system enhancements, and efficiency projects.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve material flow.
  • Compliance & Safety Maintain strict compliance with FDA, ISO, and GMP manufacturing regulations.
  • Ensure team adherence to safety protocols, PPE requirements, and all internal policies.
  • Participate in audits and contribute to corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration Partner with manufacturing, planning, quality, engineering, and procurement to solve material flow challenges.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely problem resolution.
