About The Position

Responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations, which may include skilled hand work or utilizing automated production equipment. Comprehends and interprets a variety of technical specifications, terms and documents. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.

Requirements

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associate's Degree with 0-2 years of prior related experience.
  • J-STD-001 experience.
  • Manufacturing experience.
  • Must be able to obtain a US Security Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience reading blueprints.
  • Experience using magnification instruments.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to read and understand descriptions of manufacture (DM, DOM) for operation assembly instruction.
  • Ability to handle small parts with tweezers and/or special tools.
  • Operate various types of assembly equipment (assembly machines, press stakes, air screw drivers, etc.) with proper training.
  • Visually inspect components and subassemblies for obvious defects prior to, during, and after assembled.
  • Check completed assemblies for conformance with quality standards and DMs.
  • Maintain assembly/quality records paperwork, as required.
