About The Position

The Manufacturing Training Coordinator at Smith+Nephew is responsible for developing and facilitating the manufacturing training program at the Fort Worth - Vickery location. This role focuses on training strategy, implementation planning, and managing various training projects, including new employee orientation and training on manufacturing systems. The coordinator will ensure that production associates are effectively trained and qualified to perform their roles, contributing to the overall efficiency and quality of manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of production operations experience with 1-2 years in a training role (preferred).
  • Proficient in MS Office software (Word, Excel, Power Point).

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain program documentation (lesson plans, instructor guides, visuals, etc.) to support the structured manufacturing training program.
  • Facilitate new hire Production Associates through all phases of the structured manufacturing training program, including extended onboarding.
  • Document attendance and evaluate assessments and/or feedback for all training activities.
  • Qualify production line personnel as on-the-job trainers.
  • Provide on-shift training support for production associates and production line leadership, as required.
  • Solicit, document, and disposition feedback from respective production line leadership.
  • Deliver other required training, as assigned.
  • Review and update department program documentation and production work instructions, as assigned.
  • Support during internal and external audits.
  • Determine appropriate training method for work instruction updates.
