About The Position

As a Test Development Engineer, you will be responsible for providing ongoing software development support to lead cybersecurity activities with external manufacturing partners and internal Google test development teams. You will manage hardened OS images and other test station hardening features to get acquainted with the code base and speed up rollout across CM sites (North America and EMEA region). You will also drive policy (e.g., test station restoration, rolling out images to all stations). The AI and Infrastructure team is redefining what’s possible. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in software development, network, hardware debug or Test Engineering.
  • Experience working with security policy/process, servers, or network hardware.
  • Experience with Python software development, coding, BIOS and OS.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience overseeing yield improvements and cycle time reductions for high volume and high complexity parts.
  • Experience with system admin of test stations of various OS types.
  • Experience with Python test scripts based on test specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Apply Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) fundamentals and collaborate with teams to help them understand and apply RCCA tools and principles and analyze/understand failure to resolve issues.
  • Define and execute data collection activities for high complexity technical issues.
  • Drive process design, optimization, and qualification activities of a manufacturing process for a component, part, or product.
  • Lead and define the security hardening process and provide instructions to CMs (North America/EMEA).
  • Upgrade OS and provide support for periodic hardening updates, network security, remote access.
