About The Position

Join the Vortex Companies Team! (Weekend Shift) Friday–Sunday | 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM Are you someone who takes pride in working with your hands and delivering top-notch results? Spectrum Metalcraft, a Vortex Company, is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Prep Paint Technician to join their Weekend Shift team. In this hands-on role, you’ll play a vital part in prepping and finishing product components—sanding, polishing, buffing, grinding, and retouching each piece to perfection. You’ll also mix and blend colors to ensure every component meets our high standards of quality and appearance. Hamar Automation, a Vortex Company, is looking for a mechanically inclined and detail focused CNC Machine Operator to join their Weekend Shift team. In this hands-on role, you'll play a crucial part of a face paced environment with operating numerically controlled machines to fabricate parts. You'll also shear, saw, drill and assemble product components per engineering specification. If you thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and are passionate about craftsmanship, this could be the perfect fit for you.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required
• Ability to lift at least 550 lbs independently if required

Nice To Haves

• Technical training and/or work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Mechanical aptitude preferred
• Skilled in the use of multiple hand tools

Responsibilities

• Performing assigned product prepping and finishing tasks.
• Prepping and adding finishing touches to the appearance of product components.
• Conducting quality checks and ensuring the finish of parts and components is of the highest standard.
• Optimizing production efficiency by the upkeeping and or maintenance of equipment, tooling, and work area.
• Collaborating with other departments to complete production orders on time.
• Operating and monitoring computerized controls to ensure that machines are performing task correctly.
• Reading blueprints or other instructions to determine out put goals are met.
• Complying with internal policies and industry regulations.
