About The Position

The Manufacturing Technician at Dechra Pharmaceuticals is responsible for setting up, running, and cleaning manufacturing equipment in complex production areas. This role involves dispensing, charging, blending, compression, and packaging of pharmaceutical products while ensuring compliance with cGMP, FDA, DEA, and OSHA regulations. The technician plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe work environment and is expected to contribute to process improvements and uphold high standards of quality and reliability in production.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment, including setup, operation, cleaning, and basic maintenance of manufacturing and packaging equipment.
  • Two years of experience preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to use measuring devices such as scales, balances, and calipers.
  • Demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude for effective problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Pharmaceutical or other regulatory (cGMP) experience is a plus.
  • Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the setup, manufacturing, and cleaning of pharmaceutical products.
  • Conduct equipment setup, filling, cleaning, and changeover activities.
  • Utilize hand tools for the removal and replacement of machine parts and adjustment of instrumental devices.
  • Monitor and document production and equipment performance, troubleshoot operational problems, and stage correct supplies at the process area.
  • Inspect materials and ensure compliance with policies and procedures, including formula cards and batch records.
  • Accurately complete, review, and check manufacturing documentation in conjunction with Quality Assurance.
  • Communicate quality and reliability standards to others and provide input for process improvements.
  • Actively participate in a 'safety first' culture and comply with all safety requirements, including the use of PPE.
