About The Position

Monitoring one or more stages of the manufacturing process while equipment is running Assessing the quality of raw material and equipment and identifying any flaws – then reporting findings to Quality Assurance Specialist Troubleshooting problems that arise with tools, fixtures and materials and making basic repairs – if basic solution cannot be found, collaborates with Manufacturing Engineer Communicating progress and ongoing issues daily with the Materials Manager Regularly inspecting, cleaning and performing maintenance on workstation to keep it in good working order Updating non-conformance slips and logs with relevant information Following health and safety rules to reduce the risk of workplace injury Following detailed assembly procedures, schematics, and BOMs to build camera units Ability to remain at workstation for prolonged periods Attentiveness to detail to spot flaws in products or problems with equipment Time management skills to produce the required number of parts or products to meet the production schedule Setting up test fixtures and related equipment by as needed per build requirements Soldering printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) according to schematics and assembly drawings Programming and calibrating cameras to meet application requirements Calibrating lenses, lighting, and exposure settings Performing functional testing and visual inspection for quality verification on camera units Executing firmware flashing and software installation procedures for camera units as required Applying protective potting compounds to camera assemblies when required Installing optical low-pass (OLP) filters on camera assemblies Assembling camera units according to engineering drawings, work instructions and quality policy Packaging and labeling finished camera units for shipment Assigning and recording serial numbers for finished camera assemblies
