About The Position

RareCyte is a Life Sciences Precision Biology company focused on the development of novel technology and products in spatial biology and liquid biopsy. Our platforms have been adopted by leading research institutions and pharmaceutical companies worldwide for translational research, drug discovery and clinical programs. The breakthrough Orion technology is revolutionary in the spatial biology market, enabling tissue analysis with 20 channel whole-slide multiplex imaging in a single run. RareCyte is looking for an entry-level Manufacturing Technician responsible for the assembly of consumable medical devices. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and capable of repeatedly executing a daily build plan. A successful candidate will have high attention to detail, follow established procedures well and communicate discrepancies or issues to their manager in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • 0 – 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment or Associate Degree (in-progress or completed)
  • Strong computer skills, experienced with Microsoft Office and proven ability to learn new systems quickly (ERP experience a plus)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organization (lean manufacturing experience a plus)
  • Ability to read/follow written instructions and procedures and provide feedback as necessary
  • Experience with small hand tools and microscope inspection processes required for mechanical assembly
  • Self-starter mentality and can work primarily in an independent environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for a short duration and work standing up for extended periods together with bending and stooping occasionally

Responsibilities

  • Perform repetitive mechanical assembly operations in a manufacturing environment at a fast and accurate pace
  • Operate a variety of tools and equipment to complete tasks such as assembling, cleaning, inspecting, labeling and packaging
  • Perform microscope inspections required by fine detail assembly steps
  • Follow written instructions and complete design history record documentation
  • Perform quality checks, communicate issues, file Non-Conforming Material Reports, and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain equipment and calibration logs
  • Keep a safe and tidy work environment
