About The Position

Oxford Forge, Inc. is seeking a diligent and skilled Manufacturing Technician to support our 1st shift production operations. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and quality-driven manufacturing of our products through hands-on assembly, testing, and maintenance activities. Job Description: Operate and monitor a variety of manufacturing equipment and machinery, including but not limited to CNC machines, presses, and assembly tools, in accordance with established procedures. As well as operate various finishing equipment, including grinders, sanders, and buffers, to remove imperfections, burrs, and sharp edges from metal parts. Perform manual deburring, filing, and polishing tasks to achieve specified surface finishes and tolerances. Collaborate with other production team members to optimize workflow and meet production deadlines. Perform routine setup, calibration, and troubleshooting of production equipment to maintain optimal performance and minimize downtime. Conduct in-process quality checks and inspections of components and finished products to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards. Identify and report any equipment malfunctions, production issues, or quality deviations to supervisory staff promptly. Participate in preventative maintenance activities for machinery and equipment, assisting with repairs and replacements as needed. Adhere to all company safety regulations, policies, and procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Assist in the training of new production personnel on equipment operation and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or technical certification in manufacturing, mechanical technology, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably within a precision manufacturing setting.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective team collaboration and reporting.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control principles.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
