About The Position

The Manufacturing Technician at Dechra plays a crucial role in the production of veterinary pharmaceuticals by setting up, running, and cleaning manufacturing equipment. This position ensures that all products are manufactured in compliance with cGMP, FDA, DEA, and OSHA regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The technician will be involved in various tasks related to the manufacturing process, including equipment setup, monitoring production, and ensuring quality standards are met.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment including set-up, operation, cleaning and basic maintenance of manufacturing and packaging equipment (two years preferred).
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use measuring devices such as scales, balances, calipers, etc.
  • Demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude for effective problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Pharmaceutical or other regulatory (cGMP) experience is a plus.
  • Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

  • Experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of cGMP regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the setup, manufacturing and cleaning of pharmaceutical products.
  • Perform equipment setup, filling, cleaning and changeover activities.
  • Use hand tools for removal and replacement of machine parts, adjustment of instrumental devices, and cleaning of parts.
  • Monitor and document production and equipment performance, troubleshoot operational problems, and stage correct supplies at the process area.
  • Inspect materials and perform any other tasks associated with the manufacture of the product.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, including formula cards and batch records, as well as cGMP, FDA, DEA, and OSHA regulations.
  • Accurately complete, review, and check manufacturing documentation in conjunction with Quality Assurance.
  • Communicate quality and reliability standards to others and provide input for process improvements.
  • Actively participate in and enhance a 'safety first' culture in all work conducted on the site.
  • Comply with all safety requirements, including the use of PPE.
