About The Position

The Manufacturing Technician role at AESC involves setting up, testing, and adjusting manufacturing machinery and equipment, utilizing various technologies. The position is crucial for ensuring safety and quality in the production of lithium-ion batteries, which are essential for various industries. The technician will work collaboratively across different workstations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.

Requirements

• Verifiable stable work history, with manufacturing experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and hear; stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach and lift frequently throughout the day.
• Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 20 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to wear various PPE as required by work areas.
• Ability to work in a clean room environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with automated manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with lithium-ion battery technology.

Responsibilities

• Set up, test, and adjust manufacturing machinery or equipment using electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or computer technologies.
• Assemble lithium-ion batteries for automotive and non-automotive applications.
• Work at various workstations along the assembly process, including cell assembly, pack, and material handling.
• Share ideas and make recommendations for process design and manufacturing improvements.
• Operate highly automated assembly equipment and battery-powered hand tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
