About The Position

The position is based in Gibsonton, Florida, and is a full-time role at Siemens Energy, Inc. The job involves working with core material from inside castings, including loading and unloading parts into core removal baskets, flushing parts, and monitoring core removal cycle performance using PLC and charting. The role requires the use of hoists for loading and unloading processes. The candidate will be responsible for checking and reporting safety opportunities, ensuring parts are properly rinsed after the acid process, examining finished parts for quality conformance, performing maintenance operations, and operating equipment for manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Previous experience on Core Removal process or manufacturing is a plus.
• Ability to stand during working hours for long periods.
• Ability to read engineering instructions.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work with chemicals, using proper PPE including chemical resistant suits and respirators.
• Legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for employer-sponsored work authorization.
• Ability to work with export-controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.

Responsibilities

• Checking and reporting any safety opportunities or near misses.
• Ensuring all parts are properly rinsed/flushed after the acid process.
• Examining finished parts to ensure conformance to specifications and quality.
• Performing basic or specifically defined maintenance operations.
• Cooperating with maintenance technicians and/or external service providers in repair issues.
• Operating equipment and performing manufacturing operations including wax assembly, injection, sandblast, grinding, or knockout.
• Cross-training as needed.
