Shift: The regular hours for this position are day shift. The Manufacturing Technician II – eProbes Assembly assembles small, high-precision probe products in accordance with company specifications, quality standards, and production schedules. This role performs a variety of electro-mechanical assembly and testing operations on microelectronic probe tips. The technician applies established job skills, procedures, and company policies to complete assigned work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to multi-task across multiple processes, and the capability to recognize and communicate quality or production issues while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Ability to sit and perform microscope-based work for extended periods (~75%).
  • Perform detailed visual inspections and operate a variety of manual and automated tools.
  • Capable of wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses and protective eyewear.
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull 10–15 lbs (e.g., boxes, carts).
  • Ability to walk long distances across the manufacturing floor as needed.
  • Perform repetitive hand and wrist movements with precision and consistency.
  • Ability to work with hazardous materials and chemicals while adhering to safety procedures.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and comply with all safety requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform probe tip assembly operations including tip attach, lapping and grinding, planarity and force measurements, RC testing, and OQC inspection.
  • Perform all technical duties of Assembly Technician I as required.
  • Assemble microelectronic components using epoxy application and UV curing processes.
  • Operate precision grinding equipment to flatten coaxial components to meet customer specifications.
  • Perform detailed assembly and functional testing of high-frequency probe tips.
  • Solder very small, high‑frequency coaxial cables to probe assemblies.
  • Conduct incoming and outgoing inspections of parts, materials, and coupons to ensure quality compliance.
  • Accurately complete and maintain all required manufacturing documentation and paperwork.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and communicate quality, yield, or production bottlenecks to supervisors or engineers.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and process optimization activities.
  • Collect, organize, and evaluate Statistical Process Control (SPC) data to support process monitoring.
  • Follow all safety, security, and quality procedures for work performed.
