Job Summary: The Manufacturing Technician II supports manufacturing operations through maintaining, problem solving and repairing machines and maintaining spare parts inventories.

Requirements

  • Two-year vocational school in Automation and Robotics, Mechatronics, Electronics or similar field of study or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing systems obtained through work experience or education.
  • Communication: Gives and receives technical information requiring some explanation or interpretation.
  • Able to work with moderate supervision.
  • Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and or operations of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot manufacturing machines and equipment to determine root causes and perform repairs with limited instruction from others.
  • Document machine repairs as required by the Quality Management System.
  • Perform moderately complex machine set up and programming.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on electronic and mechanical equipment.
  • Perform in-house calibration of equipment.
  • Maintain spare parts inventories, materials, and tools necessary to support manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform moderately complex technical tasks assisting engineers with electronic and mechanical systems.
  • Work consists of tasks that are typically routine.
  • Adhere to Quality Management System requirements.
  • Ensure equipment safety features are operational and equipment is safe to operate.
  • Other duties as assigned.
