About The Position

This hourly Manufacturing Technician II position is located in the Franklin, IN facility. The role involves working as part of a team to develop new products and processes from conception to launch, ensuring production goals are met. The Manufacturing Tech II will also act as a Senior Technician in their absence and assist with process gauging, contamination control, quality systems, process documentation, product specifications, capital equipment, and product development.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in quality, inspection or machining preferred
  • Must possess ability to deal with multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Two-year tech school degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Background in MRP/ERP software systems as well as MS Office preferred
  • Preference given to candidates with SAP knowledge and product knowledge
  • Understanding of Creating / Maintaining Dozuki Standard Work Programs preferred

Responsibilities

  • Use precision measuring devices to effectively inspect parts
  • Operate machinery such as hand tools and air tools
  • Respond to ANDON issues
  • Respond to issues found at Quality Gates
  • Advanced knowledge of all powertrain products and processes
  • Provide advanced support for continuous process improvement and resolving quality issues
  • Update and Develop SWI’s and FMEA’s
  • Participate in daily process improvement dialogue meetings and weekly continuous improvement meetings
  • Understand workflow awareness, understand routing steps, job travelers and production flow
  • Running tests and experiments to support process improvements
  • Performing Quality at the Source Auditing and maintaining charts, creating and analyzing quality data and reports
  • Reviewing data collected and generating reports for QM and Operations
  • Provide facility wide Pin Point Support
  • Implantation / Upkeep of DC Torque Tools
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and salvage or containment projects
  • Train and mentor new operators on production processes and standard work
  • Leading/supporting root cause analysis meetings
  • Support production and cross‑functional teams as needed to meet operational goals
  • Perform additional duties to support cross‑training, flexibility, and operational coverage
  • Other duties as assigned

Benefits

  • Starting hourly pay rate of $23.51
  • Work Hours: 5AM-3:30PM; Monday - Thursday
  • 40-hour work weeks with potential for overtime
  • 80 hours of vacation with an additional 3 days (hours dependent on work schedule) of Paid Time Off (PTO) (all prorated based on hire date)
