About The Position

Entegris is currently seeking a Manufacturing Technician for our Decatur, TX facility. In this role, you will perform tasks directly related to the production duties involved with processing raw materials, green forming billets, and processing carbon billets to be used for graphite, silicon carbides, and other specialty materials. Depending on the department, a Process Technician will work with the following; conversion furnace, impregnating vessel, purity process, graphitizer, bake furnace and other equipment and processes related to the production of carbon and graphite. What You’ll Do: Safely and efficiently operate various manufacturing machines and equipment, including but not limited to feeder hoppers, packer heads, air mills, remills, presses, and forklifts. Conduct quality checks at different stages of the manufacturing process to ensure products meet established quality standards and specifications. Identify and resolve minor equipment malfunctions and participate in routine maintenance to minimize downtime and maintain equipment in optimal condition. Manage raw materials and finished products, ensuring they are properly stored, handled, and transported to maintain product integrity. Maintain accurate records of production activities, including data on machine operation, product output, and quality control checks. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues. Collaborate with other team members, including engineers and production supervisors, to troubleshoot issues, optimize processes, and drive continuous improvement. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manufacturing guidelines to consistently produce high-quality products. Identify opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and increased productivity. May be tasked with preventative maintenance, housekeeping or other duties. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Mechanical and/or technical experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Astute attention to detail to drive Safety and Quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
  • Ability to perform visual checks and handle materials responsibly while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Dependability with flexibility to work shifts, overtime, and weekends to support business needs.
  • Candidate must have the capacity to comply with the federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control laws.
  • Completion of pre-employment physical required.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. as needed.
  • Capability to ascend and descend ladders using a three-point grip.
  • Frequent tasks will include squatting, kneeling, bending, reaching, and standing.
  • Occasional work may be required in confined workspaces.
  • Ability to perform hand squeezes requiring force up to 30 lbs.
  • Performing repetitive tasks or motions for extended periods.
  • Maintaining balance and coordination, especially when working on elevated platforms or in areas with uneven surfaces.
  • Capability to perform physically demanding tasks over extended periods, often in varying environmental conditions (e.g., hot, cold, or humid environments).
  • Adequate visual acuity to perform detailed inspections or precision work.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in working in an ISO 9000/14000 environment a plus.
