About The Position
As a Manufacturing Technician at Impulse, you will be responsible for the precision assembly, testing, inspection, and documentation of high-reliability Aerospace components and related fluid components used in spaceflight hardware. This role is designed for individuals seeking hands-on experience in aerospace manufacturing while developing technical skills, process discipline, and an understanding of quality and safety standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred
- 2+ years of hands‑on mechanical assembly experience (aerospace, automotive, medical devices, or similar high‑reliability industries)
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, work instructions
- Proficiency with hand tools, torque tools, calipers, micrometers, and basic measurement equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
Nice To Haves
- 2+ years of demonstrated mechanical assembly experience; specifically on aerospace-grade hardware
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to read basic technical drawings and follow detailed instructions
- Basic hand-tool experience
- Willingness to accept feedback and learn from experienced technicians
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities
- Assist with the assembly, disassembly, and installation of aerospace components, subassemblies, and systems Perform precision fitting, torquing, sealing, and alignment of components
- Clean, prep, and handle parts in accordance with aerospace cleanliness standards
- Identify, document, and communicate non‑conformances or build issues
- Accurately complete build records, travelers, and quality documentation
- Work closely with engineers, quality, and test teams to resolve build issues
- Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and rework of hardware under supervision
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Support hardware rework, process efficiency, quality, and reliability
- Support assembly and installation of equipment in facility
