About The Position

As a Manufacturing Technician at Impulse, you will be responsible for the precision assembly, testing, inspection, and documentation of high-reliability Aerospace components and related fluid components used in spaceflight hardware. This role is designed for individuals seeking hands-on experience in aerospace manufacturing while developing technical skills, process discipline, and an understanding of quality and safety standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred
  • 2+ years of hands‑on mechanical assembly experience (aerospace, automotive, medical devices, or similar high‑reliability industries)
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, work instructions
  • Proficiency with hand tools, torque tools, calipers, micrometers, and basic measurement equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of demonstrated mechanical assembly experience; specifically on aerospace-grade hardware
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to read basic technical drawings and follow detailed instructions
  • Basic hand-tool experience
  • Willingness to accept feedback and learn from experienced technicians
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the assembly, disassembly, and installation of aerospace components, subassemblies, and systems Perform precision fitting, torquing, sealing, and alignment of components
  • Clean, prep, and handle parts in accordance with aerospace cleanliness standards
  • Identify, document, and communicate non‑conformances or build issues
  • Accurately complete build records, travelers, and quality documentation
  • Work closely with engineers, quality, and test teams to resolve build issues
  • Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and rework of hardware under supervision
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Support hardware rework, process efficiency, quality, and reliability
  • Support assembly and installation of equipment in facility
